TATAVA was founded in 2022 by four students from Koç University, the last stop of alternative culture in Istanbul. The band, which was conceived by Kutay Karagöz on vocals and rhythm guitar, continues with the same members with the participation of Tuna Erdem on back vocals and lead guitar, Kaan Kımıloğlu on drums and Burak Melih Ardahanlı on bass guitar.

 

"Depresif Gürültüler" is an expression of the difficulties experienced by four young people trying to put their lives in place and get to know themselves in the meantime.

 

TATAVA, who will make their first release, have performed this EP both musically and as songwriters in order to face life with all its disgustingness, evil and difficulty in the most real way, in a way to vomit this nauseating reality. Trying to tell and keep alive the issues that are not taken seriously and constantly avoided out of fear and anxiety, with a little bit of grunge and a little bit of hardcore punk influences, the band initially performed covers of known punk, hardcore punk and grunge songs on their stages, while at the same time producing their own music. "Depresif Gürültüler" is the result of this process.
