1912 is an Indie Rock band from Kadıköy, founded in 2014 by Talha Çelik and Adnan Hakkıoğlu.    

They blend many different genres in the same pot with their own compositions that have elements of Psychedelic Rock - Surf Rock - Rock'n Roll - Trip Hop.    

The band's name is inspired by the dark mood of the early 1900s, a Kafkaesque state of being stuck in between, cramped, full of anxiety and uncertainties, which they think is similar to the current era.  

The band blends the psychedelic elements, multiple vocal harmonies and well-crafted compositions of the 60's with the dark, depressive sound of the 90's and presents it in a new and unique way.  

They see their new single "Karanlık Rüya" as a rebellion against the corruption of the era we find ourselves in and the disregard for the concept of freedom, and they shout for the dark days to pass.
