Plastic Ideas is a shoegaze/dream pop project formed in 2019. To date, the project has released four EPs and two full-length albums. Following the EPs ‘İyi Değilim Ben’, released on 19 December 2025, and ‘Sanrı’, released on 31 July 2026, the project now presents ‘Gerçekten Mi Yenildik’, a track that navigates the realms of indie rock, alternative rock and shoegaze.

As with his previous tracks, Berkan Çalışkan carried out the entire recording and production process for the song at home. Whilst continuing to work with his bands Straygaze and Paradise Problem, Berkan uses the Plastic Ideas channel to express himself through his own songs.
