The Guillotines cut through the noise with a blend of dreamy textures and grounded grooves. Formed by producer Kubi Ozturk, vocalist Alexandra Kimel, filmmaker and bassist Simon Baucks and multi-instrumentalist Benni Zimmerman, the band brings together diverse creative worlds into one cohesive sound. Berlin-based, they reflect the chaos and order of their city with a balance of edge and ease.

Their first release, “pool painted black” starts the band’s journey off with an atmospheric and hopeful sound. Sitting somewhere between contentedness and contemplation, the song is a sign of things to come for the new band; exploring elements of electronica, blues and post-rock.
